Our Story

FanDeck founders smiling together with NYC skyline in background

Sports has always been my universal language. From waking up at 4 AM in Nepal to catch NBA playoffs to using it as my bridge to belonging when I moved to the US for college, even landing me jobs, connections, and homework extensions. 2025, it was Super Bowl weekend at an NYU hackathon when FanDeck was born: struggling to connect with fellow New Yorkers until I found myself at Phebes Bar watching the Chiefs lose with Cincinnati fans, I realized how sports creates instant community. When my friend Sumiran reminded me about FIFA World Cup 2026 bringing billions of fans to American cities, I saw the bigger picture. FanDeck isn't just helping displaced fans find their tribe, we're building the infrastructure for the largest sports migration in American history, making finding your sports community as easy as finding a game to watch.
